OceanPact has achieved a “B” score (“Management” level) in the annual Climate Change Assessment conducted by CDP, one of the world’s leading organizations for environmental evaluations. In just one year, the company climbed two grades by implementing concrete actions to enhance its climate governance and management practices.
This achievement highlights OceanPact’s commitment to adopting coordinated measures to address climate change and align with industry best practices. The company has made this agenda a strategic priority, transforming the challenges of a hard-to-abate sector into opportunities driven by the development of emerging markets, such as autonomous vessels and ocean-based solutions.
In addition to the CDP recognition, OceanPact was also recognized by the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program for its case study, “Maritime Support: Digitalization for Inventory Improvement in a Complex Sector.” This project was selected as one of 25 exemplary initiatives for emissions management and featured in the publication “Lessons Learned and Best Practices for Emissions Reporting: Selected Cases – 2024 Cycle,” produced by FGV EAESP, a business school in São Paulo. The report highlights replicable initiatives and shares insights to improve the quality and consistency of emissions inventories in Brazil.
These recognitions from CDP and the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program reflect OceanPact’s mission to help society and its clients understand, utilize and protect the coast, oceans and their resources, ensuring their conservation and sustainable use.
