OceanPact at the Ocean Decade Conference

OceanPact met with leaders from the scientific community, academia, NGOs, the private sector and governments to discuss strategies and concrete actions for the future of the planet’s oceans during the 2024 Ocean Decade Conference, from April 10 to 12.

“Participating in global events like this gives us confidence that we are moving in the right direction, expanding our understanding of the oceans and recognizing opportunities in the Blue Economy,” said Fernando Borensztein, OceanPact’s new business and sustainability director, who represented the company in Barcelona, Spain.

Organized by the UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, the conference addressed challenges such as climate change, food security, the sustainable management of biodiversity, the sustainable ocean economy, pollution and natural risks. Amandine Chevé, new blue business manager at OceanPact, also accompanied the proceedings.

OceanPact’s mission is to help society and its clients learn about, use and harness the coastline, the oceans and their resources while guaranteeing their protection and conservation.
