OceanPact CEO Flavio Andrade participated in the preparatory meeting for the launch of the United Nations Business Arena for Sustainability and Peace on Monday, June 5, in Oslo, Norway.
The aim of the event was to promote partnerships between companies, governments and intra and non-governmental organizations in favor of a global agenda of sustainability and peace.
The UN Business Arena will seek to lead business diplomacy, encouraging inclusive engagement and cooperation between Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member countries and emerging economies.
The assistant secretary general and executive director of the UN Global Compact, Sanda Ojiambo, and the leaders of Brazilian and international companies took part in the event.
“We feel honored that OceanPact was invited to witness this milestone, which has a noble purpose, to unite the strength of companies to help find positive paths forward for the good of the planet,” said Flavio Andrade.
