OceanPact brings digital solutions to Latin America’s largest maritime and offshore trade show

OceanPact participated in Navalshore Maritime 2025, Latin America’s largest maritime and offshore trade show, held in August in Rio de Janeiro. With innovation at the center of discussions, the company highlighted how science and technology are transforming the sector and making operations safer, more efficient and more sustainable.

Arthur Kós, OceanPact’s innovation director, took part in a panel called “Automation, Digitization and Artificial Intelligence” at the UK-Brazil Forum side event. In his presentation, he provided details about OceanPact Digital, a platform that combines environmental and location data, cameras and telemetry, as well as applied meteorological and oceanographic intelligence.

This tool is playing a strategic role in reducing climate risks and improving operational efficiency. The panel also featured Fabio Pereira from Ocean Infinity and Rodrigo Andrade from Wärtsilä. It was moderated by Paulo Paixão from the Brazilian Naval Engineering Association (SOBENA).

“OceanPact has been dedicated to creating technological solutions capable of transforming the maritime and offshore sector. OceanPact Digital reinforces our position as a leader in maritime knowledge, transforming complex data into strategic solutions for all companies in the sector,” Kós said.

OceanPact’s innovation manager, Leonardo Maciel, participated in a panel titled “Navigating Maritime Innovation: AI and Data at Sea,” organized by M&O Partners. He stressed the role of artificial intelligence in the digital transformation of fleets, yielding gains in safety and efficiency.

“The collection of ocean and atmospheric data from vessels allows us to improve forecasting models and generate short-term analyses in a matter of minutes. This is a major advantage in critical operations such as identifying weather windows and searching for men overboard. In addition, the use of AI in the onboard cameras of our vessels has reinforced crew safety, identifying hazards, the inappropriate use of PPE and obstructed escape routes in real time,” he said.

Navalshore Maritime fosters partnerships, facilitates business deals and encourages the exchange of knowledge between companies and professionals. OceanPact’s presence highlights how the company is helping drive digitization and innovation in the industry, connecting science and technology to maritime operations.
