OceanPact, through OceanPact Digital, has developed a tailored tool to strengthen navigation safety in the Pelotas Basin, around 100 km off the coast of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina in southern Brazil—a region marked by intense maritime traffic.
The “Notice to Mariners” feature makes it possible to track the position of seismic survey vessels in real time and provides guidance on safety zones in operational areas. The system also displays the up-to-date locations of vessels involved in these activities, increasing predictability and supporting decision-making at sea.
Developed in response to clients’ needs, the tool offers simplified, free access and aims to reduce navigation risks while enhancing the safety of fishermen, commercial vessels and maritime communities. The initiative shows how OceanPact Digital transforms operational challenges into efficient, scalable digital solutions.
At the same time, our consulting arm EnvironPact is supporting the environmental management of seismic projects through the implementation of environmental programs in areas such as social communication, pollution control, worker environmental education, marine biota monitoring and passive acoustic monitoring. EnvironPact also manages beach monitoring initiatives and coastal and ocean biodiversity surveys.
