OceanPact has new human resources director

Human resources professional Tatiana Melamed was appointed OceanPact’s HR director in July. She will be responsible for integrating human resources practices, policies and governance across all the group’s companies.

Melamed obtained a law degree from Rio de Janeiro Federal University in 1986. She also has an MBA in HR management from Getulio Vargas Foundation and specialized diplomas in governance and ontological coaching. In November 2018, she started to provide consulting support to OceanPact, helping it structure its human resources area in order to turn it into a leader in its sector. Since then, she has created and implemented a map containing all the professional demands existing in various business areas.

“I understand that my mission is to lead OceanPact’s HR area with integrated governance, human resources policies and processes, showing how each person’s potential can increasingly drive forward our activities. A company is made up of the right people in the right places. We are building a strong and unique governance in terms of human behavior, careers, policies and processes. That is my great challenge,” Melamed says.

She perceives OceanPact as a young, fast-growing company that does what it says it will. “The company is listed on the stock exchange. It is brave and strong. I believe we must grow in a solid and balanced way, always looking ahead, seeing what can be done to become ever more sustainable. People are passionate about OceanPact because it embraces everyone like a wave in the ocean,” she says.
