OceanPact highlights integrated solutions and environmental commitment at 2025 SPE Brazil Decommissioning Symposium

OceanPact participated in the 2025 SPE Brazil Decommissioning Symposium, alongside oil and gas operators, service providers, regulatory agencies and research institutions, to discuss the future of decommissioning in Brazil. As a sponsor of the symposium, held in June in Rio de Janeiro, the company contributed to discussions about innovation and sustainability.

During the event, Thaisa Freitas, logistics management and project manager at OceanPact, highlighted the importance of integration between operational and regulatory areas to ensure efficiency and responsibility at all stages of the process. Fabrizio Fernandes, risk and operational safety project manager at EnvironPact, emphasized the need for a structured technical approach and continuous risk assessment as essential pillars for the success of decommissioning operations.

Using its infrastructure dedicated exclusively to this area and its experience in decommissioning projects for Petrobras, OceanPact is consolidating its presence in one of the most strategic segments of the offshore industry. The company offers comprehensive solutions under the Engineering, Preparation, Removal and Final Disposal (EPRD) model, encompassing everything from initial studies to execution and final logistics, both at sea and on land.

OceanPact’s portfolio includes multifunctional vessels, remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) and proprietary equipment for underwater interventions and the cutting, disconnection and lifting of structures. Thus, the company operates in all phases of decommissioning, contributing to a safe and sustainable transition of offshore assets in Brazil.
