“Through OceanPact Digital, we can optimize the way companies plan and execute operations at sea, whether close to the coast or farther offshore, offering an integrated data platform that allows more assertive decision making and faster responses to emergencies.” This was said by Érik Cunha, OceanPact’s commercial and marketing director, during a speech at the National Seminar on the Maritime Industry and Environment (Ecobrasil), held on April 27 in Rio de Janeiro.
Érik discussed how the concepts of innovation and sustainability lie at the root of OceanPact’s activities. “Cronos and OceanPact Digital are examples of how innovation can be used to create sustainable and efficient solutions for the offshore industry,” he explained.
Developed by OceanPact, the OceanPact Digital platform offers the industry various innovations in terms of integrating meteorological and oceanographic data from different sources. The goal is to plan operations and reduce the time between an incident being detected and an effective response.
The Ecobrasil seminar is held every year by trade magazine Revista Portos e Navios and sponsored by OceanPact. This year’s edition took place on April 26 and 27.
