OceanPact has signed a four-year contract with Petrobras, valued at approximately R$500 million, to charter the Rochedo de São Paulo, an anchor handling tug supply – tanker offloading (AHTS-TO) vessel. The agreement encompasses operations along the Brazilian coast.
Under the contract, the vessel will be responsible for the handling and maintenance of offloading hoses – an activity essential to ensuring the continuity, safety and efficiency of oil transfer operations between offshore units and shuttle tankers. The Rochedo de São Paulo will support planned operations, drawing on OceanPact’s extensive experience in executing critical activities in the maritime environment.
This new contract further strengthens OceanPact’s presence in strategic offshore operations and adds to a series of significant commercial milestones announced by the company in 2025.
In August, OceanPact signed four new contracts with Petrobras, also for a period of four years, worth around R$3.2 billion in all, to charter remotely operated vehicle (ROV) support vessels. In September, the company announced two more contracts, worth over R$700 million, to provide marine environmental monitoring services in areas under Petrobras’ responsibility.
OceanPact has established itself as a national leader in maritime support operations. The company operates a fleet of 28 vessels – including ROV support vessels, oil spill response vessels, platform supply vessels, research vessels, multipurpose support vessels and anchor handling tug supply vessels – and maintains the largest inventory of offshore emergency response equipment in Latin America.
