OceanPact signs R$697 million contract with Petrobras to charter the vessel Ilha do Mosqueiro

OceanPact, a Brazilian company that develops and implements solutions in the areas of the environment, subsea services and logistical and engineering support, has just signed a R$697 million contract with Petrobras for a period of four years to charter Ilha do Mosqueiro, an offshore terminal support vessel (OTSV).

The vessel will be used to maintain offloading hoses on floating production, storage and offloading units (FPSOs) and floating storage and offloading units (FSOs), equipped with high-capacity winches and cranes specially designed to meet the requirements of these operations.

In April of this year, OceanPact announced new contracts with Petrobras to charter three oil spill response vessels, Fernando de Noronha, Jim O’Brien and Macaé, worth a total of R$650 million, for emergency preparedness and response in the event of environmental incidents. It also announced another contract with Petrobras, worth R$310 million, to charter Ilha de Santana, a platform supply vessel, to provide logistics and emergency response services.

OceanPact also has contracts with other operators in the Brazilian oil and gas industry.

OceanPact has a fleet of 28 vessels, made up of oil spill response vessels, remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) support vessels, platform supply vessels, research vessels, multi-purpose support vessels and anchor handling tug supply vessels. The company also has the largest inventory of offshore emergency response equipment in Latin America.
