This weekend, November 29 and 30, Guanabara Bay will be the setting for the fourth Rio Women’s Cup, based at Rio de Janeiro Yacht Club. OceanPact is proud to support the regatta, which brings together sailors from different generations and celebrates the growing participation of women in sailing.
A leader in ocean knowledge and a strong promoter of aquatic sports, OceanPact created SeaSpot, an app offering meteorological and oceanographic forecasts designed to give competitors and spectators real-time updates on sea conditions.
With SeaSpot, users can track parameters related to wind, waves, water temperature and UV radiation in real time. The app also offers an interactive map with forecasts up to 14 days ahead, powered by a system developed in partnership with AtmosMarine that combines measurements with numerical and statistical modeling to deliver more accurate regional predictions.
The tool was designed to support planning in the areas of renewable energy, navigation, offshore operations and climate security.
Download SeaSpot and sail with more strategy, safety and connection to the sea.
