“Our role is to structure solutions to complex challenges related to sustainability in the short, medium and long term, contributing to an effective, rational and just energy transition,” said Mauricio Hernandez, project manager at EnvironPact, during a talk at the 18th edition of the National Seminar on the Maritime Industry and the Environment (known as Ecobrasil).
As a sponsor of the seminar, OceanPact participated in its technical activities, giving a talk titled “The role of consulting in the decarbonization journey.” Hernandez highlighted how strategic consulting can accelerate sustainable transformations in the maritime and port sectors and in emerging technologies such as offshore wind energy. EnvironPact is a subsidiary of OceanPact specializing in environmental solutions.
“The decarbonization journey requires in-depth knowledge of processes and a new business mindset. Consulting can act as strategic support along this path, connecting technology, regulation and decision making with pragmatism and a vision for the future,” he said.
The event brought together public officials, companies, researchers and leaders in Rio de Janeiro to discuss topics such as energy efficiency, port cities, green corridors and decarbonization.
