OceanPact Technical Navigation Workshop strengthens innovation, sustainability and results

“Our mission in the Technical Navigation Area is to ensure that vessels are ready to operate efficiently and safely. Our job is to allow results to be achieved at sea.”

With this statement, OceanPact’s technical navigation director, Ricardo Menezes, summed up the purpose of the workshop held in June in Rio de Janeiro. The meeting brought the team together for a day to align objectives, exchange experiences and strengthen integration.

During the event, the area’s trajectory, advances in fleet management and the essential role of the technical team in ensuring safe and efficient maritime operations were highlighted. Topics such as innovation, sustainability, digitization and synergies between areas also marked the meeting.

Over the course of the day, subjects including coordination between construction and operations, materials and spare parts management, backload governance, audits, offshore safety management systems and the use of TM Master (a fleet management software program that supports vessel maintenance and optimization) were discussed.
