OceanPact, a leader in marine knowledge and services, will be a key participant at Interspill 2025, which will take place from April 8 to 10 in London. At the tenth edition of this major international oil spill event, the company will lend its name to an auditorium – the OceanPact Science & Innovation Theatre.
This space will host talks and a workshop called “Turning Data into Action: The Power of Real-Time Emergency Response Planning in Oil Spill Response,” which will share a real case of an emergency response that employed the company’s multidisciplinary expertise and OceanPact Digital, its integrated ocean and satellite monitoring tool.
On the same day, OceanPact will contribute to two panels at the main conference. Adriano Ranieri, managing director of OceanPact’s Services Segment and CEO of EnvironPact, will take part in a panel called “Improving the Efficiency of Responses to Coastal Oil Spills: Transitioning from Geographic to Tactical Response Plans.” Valeria Ruoppolo, director of Aiuká, an OceanPact company, will speak on a panel called “Improving Wildlife Incident Preparedness and Response: The Critical Role of Drills and an Example from Brazil.”
The company will also present the following technical papers: “Improving the Efficiency of Responses to Coastal Oil Spills” by Adriano Ranieri, Pedro Martins and Leticia Catharino of EnvironPact; “Evaluation of Oil Spill Response Capabilities in a Multifaceted Port Environment – A Model for Excellence” by Adriano Ranieri, Luiza Saraiva and Raphael Oliveira of EnvironPact, and Bruno Ramos of Vast; “Ten Years of Achievements and Lessons from the National Geodatabase for Coastal Response: Environmental Mapping for Offshore Emergency Response” by Pedro Martins and Luiza Saraiva of EnvironPact; and “A Digital Solution for Efficient Offshore Oil Spill Management” and “Benefits of Data Assimilation in the ROMS Model for SAR and Oil Spill Modeling,” both by Vitor Rodrigues of OceanPact.
