OceanPact was the grand winner of the 2024 Vast Infraestrutura Contractors Occupational Health and Safety Performance Awards, ranking first among all Vast Infraestrutura contractors. The awards ceremony was held in March at the Port of Açu in Rio de Janeiro State, at which the company was presented with a gold trophy.

This is OceanPact’s fifth Vast Award and its third first-place finish, directly reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to a culture of safety and operational excellence.

The annual awards scheme aims to encourage continuous improvement in occupational health and safety practices by recognizing the top three performing companies at Vast Infraestrutura’s oil terminal.

OceanPact was represented at the awards ceremony by Jorge Elias, operations manager for the Port Oil Spill area. He pointed out that this achievement reflects the work of field employees and all those involved in administrative operations.

“This effort encompasses procedures, protocols and outstanding performance in audits of Vast suppliers. The award recognizes teamwork, which contributes to the development of a safety culture, risk awareness and improvements in our employees’ processes and procedures,” he said.
